About the filmmaker
Julio Vargas is driven to make films from his experiences as a street kid with an adventurous spirit. As a teenager in Boston he endured poverty, racist attacks, and gang violence, but always had the gift of seeing the beauty in his surroundings. Finding an escape in films, he dedicates his life to creating the same refuge for others through his work.
