Synopsis

The story is set in the 1920s, where a young cabaret dancer – in order to keep her job – has to confront her clumsiness during a dress rehearsal. 

About the filmmaker

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in cinema, then a diploma in drawing, Marie brought together her desire to create images and to stage stories in 2D animation studies. Her end-of-studies project allowed Marie to touch all the stages of production, and to cultivate her taste for animation and artistic direction. With this musical film about cabaret dancers, she exploits what drawing offers more than video with cartoon characters, exaggerated poses, daring colors, all to make people laugh and create empathy with muted characters.
